(DailyVantage.com) – When a new president enters the Oval Office, it’s only natural for there to be a transition period. Sometimes, though, the commander-in-chief just can’t seem to do anything right. President Joe Biden has certainly had his share of mishaps during his first year.
The border crisis stands out first and foremost because the very first course of action Biden took was to immediately reverse nearly all of former President Donald Trump’s immigration policies. He halted progress on the border wall and even tried to suspend deportations. Since he took office, there have been over 1.7 million arrests at the border, and who knows how many people actually entered the country illegally?

When Biden was campaigning, he said he wouldn’t push vaccine mandates. That turned out to be a lie. Now, rather than give up body autonomy, many people are finding themselves unemployed — including members of our police forces and military services, two bodies responsible for our national security.
Finally, who could forget the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal? Sure, the US ended its participation in a decades-long war, but the Biden Administration left hundreds of civilians and allies behind and enabled the Taliban’s swift takeover. We lost 13 of our service members, who died in an attack while evacuating people, and now, all the rights and advances Afghan women gained during American intervention are gone.
Here’s hoping 2022 will be a better year, but if Biden’s history of blunders is any indication, we probably shouldn’t hold our breath.
