Biden Cornered – Did He Think He’d Get AWAY With This!?

(DailyVantage.com) – The Former U.S. Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott spoke out against President Joe Biden’s border policy in a recent press conference, The Daily Caller reported. Scott stated that, in his view, the “hypocrisy” of the Biden administration to scrap a Trump-era order in favor of a stiffer policy that would leave migrants at the crossing “without a court date” was, in Scott’s view, “ridiculous.”

Scott reportedly referred to the Trump era’s “Remain in Mexico” policy, also known as the “Migrant Protection Protocols.” In August 2022, the Biden administration reportedly ended this policy, after a battle in the courts over its implementation. In Scott’s view, Biden’s restrictions without specified court dates “ hypocritically” contradicted his earlier policy agenda.

As the border crisis continued to reportedly escalate, the House Judiciary Committee held a hearing on the Biden administration’s border control policies, The Hill reported. During this hearing, Democrats and Republicans debated whether the Biden administration’s border policies had exacerbated the border status. Representative Jerrold Nadler (D.NY) argued that the number of crossings had “dropped” by “70 percent” as of the time Title 42 ended.

Nadler claimed that the Republicans were using narratives to “stoke fear” about the status of the border. However, former Border Chief Scott followed Nadler and explained that, in the view of the Border Patrol, the records checks were insufficient because of risks from terror cells. Scott explained that the executive processes put in place by the Trump administration had proven to make all CBP agents more effective, whereas the CBP also felt the negative impacts of Biden’s protocols, Scott stated before the House Judiciary Committee in a hearing broadcast on May 23, The Hill reported.

The Senate Republican Conference has been critical of Biden’s border crisis, calling it the “worst in American history.” In a letter obtained by Politico, Senate Republicans addressed some of the key issues of the Biden administration’s border crisis. Republicans stated that, under Biden’s policies, illegal border crossings have “soared” to “all-time” high rates. Republicans argued that, due to the 94 executive actions that Biden took in the first 100 days of his administration, he was responsible for “creating” the current status of the border crisis.
