(DailyVantage.com) – As more details emerge about the investigation into Hunter Biden, the worse it looks for President Biden. On June 22, two IRS whistleblowers’ testimony to the Ways and Means Committee was made public, which included a text message from Hunter to a Chinese Communist Party-linked businessman, where Hunter claimed to be with Joe Biden, demanding that the businessman follow through with a commitment he made.
The allegations became public shortly after details of Hunter’s plea deal were revealed, prompting outrage from Republicans who believed he was going to get off too easily, notably from those who have been investigating his and other Biden family members’ business dealings in the House Oversight Committee.
Even more shockingly, the investigation of Hunter stemmed from another IRS investigation into a “foreign-based amateur online pornography platform,” although the connection between Hunter and the other investigation was not revealed by the committee during its press conference over the whistleblowers’ testimonies. To make matters worse, the whistleblowers also accused the Department of Justice (DOJ) of preventing charges from being brought against the President’s son in California and Washington D.C., while also claiming that Attorney General Merrick Garland refused to approve Special Counsel status for U.S. Attorney David Weiss, who is leading the investigation into Hunter. While Garland has denied that claim, the whistleblowers maintain they are accurate in their accusations.
One of the whistleblowers claimed that the investigation included business activities of Hunter Biden over the span of six years, during which he and his business partners received over $17 million in income from deals in Ukraine, Romania, and China. Gary Shapely, the only whistleblower who has revealed his identity to the public, also told the committee that in 2019 the FBI received and authenticated Hunter’s laptop after they learned that he had abandoned it at a computer repair shop. Biden told the American public on multiple occasions before and after he became President that the contents of the laptop were part of a Russian influence operation, while also claiming that he never discussed business with his son.
