China Unveils ARMED ROBOT Dogs
(DailyVantage.com) – Battlefield weapons tech has significantly advanced in recent years. The stealth and versatility of drones and robots make them an increasingly popular choice because attackers face fewer risks when remotely controlling the devices. Now, it seems China is taking the latest technology to the extreme.
A video that quickly went viral, spreading from China’s Weibo social media platforms to American sites like Facebook and Twitter, appears to showcase the communist country arming a robot dog with machine guns.

It looks like the stuff of nightmares.
In the footage, which appears to come from Chinese contractor Blood-Wing, a drone drops off the robot, which rises and begins patrolling.
The timing of this video is certainly ironic. Several robotics companies, including Boston Dynamics, recently signed a pledge not to weaponize or support the weaponization of their products. Robert Playter, CEO of Boston Dynamics, wrote a letter saying trust is imperative for the devices to become mainstream and accepted for general use in society. “We need policy that prohibits bad actors from misusing it,” he explained.
Of course, genuine concerns exist about whether the Chinese government could turn to these technologies in battle scenarios and in domestic efforts to control their populace.
How do you feel about weaponizing robots?
