CNN Confesses to Altering Images of Trump and Loomer

(DailyVantage.com) – CNN recently admitted to using “digitally altered” photos of former President Donald Trump and right-wing activist Laura Loomer in several segments aired on Friday and Saturday. The network issued an on-air retraction, acknowledging the use of manipulated images that appeared in reports hosted by Anderson Cooper and others.

In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), CNN stated: “Friday evening and on Saturday, CNN aired a number of segments that briefly showed an image of former President Donald Trump and Laura Loomer taken from social media. On review, this image had been digitally altered by a third party and should not have been included. We regret the error.”

Loomer, in response, criticized Cooper for not personally apologizing and sending a female colleague to issue the retraction. She took to X, warning that she might pursue legal action if a formal written retraction wasn’t provided. “If you do not issue a retraction in writing on X for showing fake and photoshopped pics of me and President Trump… I will sue you,” Loomer posted.

She added, “How much of a coward do you have to be to use fake pics to defame me and @realDonaldTrump and then not apologize yourself?”

Loomer, who has been a vocal supporter of Trump and known for her right-wing activism, expressed her intent to hold CNN and its hosts accountable for broadcasting the manipulated images. The incident has stirred controversy, highlighting the delicate balance media outlets must maintain in ensuring the accuracy of the content they air, particularly regarding high-profile political figures.
