Disgraced Hollywood Icon Says He’s Innocent Of Latest Charges
(DailyVantage.com) – During the #MeToo era, various people called out actor Kevin Spacey for his misconduct toward young boys. Hollywood eventually blacklisted him, and he even lost a coveted role in “House of Cards” and a movie role in the completed movie, “All the Money in the World,” requiring digital editing and reshooting several scenes with a new actor. Now, the two-time Oscar winner is facing charges in the UK and recently attended court.
On Monday, June 13, the Crown Prosecution Service formally charged Spacey, whose legal name is Kevin Spacey Fowler, with four counts of sexual assault involving three men following an investigation. Prosecutors levied the additional charge because of non-consensual “penetrative sexual activity.” He appeared at Westminster Magistrates Court on June 16.
At this preliminary hearing, Spacey’s lawyer said the actor “strenuously denied” the charges against him. The judge, Deputy Chief Magistrate Tan Ikram, granted the actor unconditional bail, meaning he has no restrictions preventing him from traveling while he awaits his next court appearance.

These charges stem from incidents occurring between 2005 and 2008. Unlike the US, the UK doesn’t have a statute of limitations on sexual assault charges. Spacey will appear in UK court again next month, and a judge has ordered that he also appear in a New York federal court for another case brought against him by actor Anthony Rapp.
