Doctor Argues Biden Should Undergo Cognitive Testing Yearly

Doctor Says Biden Should Get Yearly Brain Test

(DailyVantage.com) – Ever since President Joe Biden took office, there’s been a lot of concern about his mental acuity. Many wondered if the White House staff shielded him because he rarely gave press conferences or addressed the media initially. When he finally started answering questions and giving speeches, he often seemed to stumble on his words and thoughts. It’s no secret he’s been a gaffe machine throughout the years. Recently, Fox News host Maria Bartiromo brought up the subject during an interview with Senator Roger Marshall (R-KS).

Marshall Addresses Biden’s Competence

When Bartiromo asked Marshall about Biden’s mental capacity, the two had an in-depth discussion. The Kansas senator drew on his own experience and said Biden’s behavior was cause for concern. He said the president’s mental health is a national security concern. Comparing his interviews from now to those from a year or more ago, Marchall opined there’s a “deterioration in his mental capacity.”

However, Marshall offered a solution, saying he, along with Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), are likely to discuss how to proceed going forward.

Are GOP Measures Possible?

There’s some speculation Congress could ask Biden to complete cognitive tests annually should the GOP take over the House and Senate during this year’s midterms. In fact, 37 Republicans have already joined together with Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) taking the lead in sending a letter to President Biden, asking him to undergo cognitive testing, much like Democrats demanded of Trump.

According to Jackson, this test would be “an important first step” to reassure the American public he’s fit to continue his job. After that, Republicans could potentially ask the president to undergo testing annually to reassure the nation he’s mentally healthy enough to perform the all-important job of leading the country.

In the letter, Jackson outlined some changes such as “changes in mood and personality” in Biden, possibly indicating initial stages of Alzheimer’s or dementia. The lawmakers addressed the president’s annual physical in November, which concluded he’s fit for duty, but there was no mention of cognitive testing. If the commander in chief took the cognitive test as part of his physical, the White House didn’t publicize the results.

Nevertheless, lawmakers want Biden to submit to at least one cognitive exam soon. The White House has not responded to the letter or any questions surrounding the issue.
