Donald Trump Fights Back Against Twitter After MTG Ban

( – Former President Donald Trump is no stranger to ire when it comes to social media. After all, he was banned from Twitter last January and then Facebook shortly after. Now, he’s speaking out after Twitter silenced another prominent conservative.

On Monday, January 3, Trump took the social media site to task for banning Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) from its platform. Calling it a “low-life,” he said the company “shouldn’t be allowed to do business in this country.”

Twitter says it banned Greene for violating its policy on COVID-19 misinformation. Her personal account suspension on January 2 was her fifth supposed offense and therefore, resulted in permanent removal from its site. Following this action, Greene posted on Telegram that she was not spreading misinformation and Twitter simply “can’t handle the truth.”

Greene’s congressional account remains active on Twitter, but it doesn’t seem she’ll be needing it as she’s already moved to GETTR, where many other Conservative voices have taken residence in the wake of Big Tech censorship.

Facebook also suspended Greene for 24 hours after her Twitter ban.

Trump told his followers to get off of the main social media sites, saying they were “boring” and everyone hates them. He also vowed to keep supporting Greene, saying, “Keep fighting, Marjorie!”
