Elvis Presley's Daughter Dies After Apparent Cardiac Arrest

(DailyVantage.com) – Elvis Presley was an icon whose music still lives on to this day. During his life, he had one child with his then-wife, Priscilla Presley. Lisa Marie was born on February 1, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee, and became immediately famous because of her parents. She would go on to create her own identity in a storied career. Sadly, she passed away at the age of 54 last week.

On Thursday, January 12, Priscilla confirmed to People Magazine that her daughter had passed away following a medical emergency. She said Lisa “was the most passionate, strong and loving woman [she had] ever known,” and she asked for privacy for her family while they mourned.

In a TMZ exclusive, sources revealed Lisa Marie was braindead when first responders transported her to the hospital following cardiac arrest. Doctors put her in a medically induced coma and on life support. At that time, her family issued a do not resuscitate (DNR) order. Shortly after, she had a second cardiac arrest and passed away.

During her lifetime, Lisa Marie became famous in her own right. She released three albums between 2003 and 2012. Her first record, “To Whom It May Concern,” went gold-certified in the United States, selling half a million copies.

Lisa Marie was also a philanthropist, overseeing the Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation and working with Oprah’s Angel Network during the devastating events of Hurricane Katrina.

The famous daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley married four times, including to Michael Jackson and Nicholas Cage. One of her ex-husbands, Danny Keough, was the one who started CPR until EMTs arrived.

Her mother and three children, Riley, Harper, and Finley, survive her. Her son Benjamin passed away in 2020, but she kept his memory alive throughout the years with loving, dedicated posts on memorable days, including the anniversary of his death and his birthday.
