Exercise Company Bans 'LetsGoBrandon' on Machines, Citing Terms

(DailyVantage.com) – Peloton made waves in the exercise industry for its convenience, allowing users to work out in the comfort of their own homes. It was one of the first of its kind to reach out and take the home fitness trend to the next level. Now, though, it seems the company is making waves for other reasons — and it might cost them a valuable customer base.

Recently, it came to light Peloton is banning the phrase #LetsGoBrandon on its platform, where people can post tags to connect with like-minded riders. Those who have tried to use the tag lately have received an error message saying the content violates its terms.

Oddly, other tags like #BLM and #DefundThePolice are still acceptable, even though they promote organizations and movements with well-documented violent undertones.

This censorship incident isn’t the first time the exercise company has displayed leftist “woke” behavior. Earlier this year, it rolled out an anti-racist training program that encouraged White employees to acknowledge their skin color and “privilege.”

While Peloton might be a private company that feels it can dictate what users say on its platforms, customers also have the right to take their money elsewhere, namely somewhere that honors their First Amendment rights.
