Federal Border Agents Cleared of Whipping Allegations

(DailyVantage.com) – The Left kicked up a fuss after photos surfaced of Border Patrol agents on horseback allegedly whipping Haitian migrants in September 2021. The narrative made it so far that news outlets repeated the story and added to it, saying the agents were also using the show of force against women and children. They later had to walk back these claims. Now, evidence has completely destroyed the narrative.

According to the Daily Caller, Brandon Judd, the National Border Patrol Council president, said the agency cleared border agents of criminal misconduct in connection with the September 2021 incident. While neither the CBP nor the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) have confirmed this, Judd states it’s true because the Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) “compelled them to give a statement,” and once this happens, “you can’t take criminal action against them.” Judd is also adamant the agents were acting within the scope of their jobs.

The investigation, which originated in the Office of the Inspector General (OIG), is still ongoing, and neither agency involved has released any details about the findings, despite the promise of a quick resolution. While the agents may not face criminal charges, they could still face the prospect of losing their jobs if investigators determined they violated CBP policy.
