Biden Admin Creates Task Force To Get Around Abortion Ruling
(DailyVantage.com) – On Friday, June 24, The Supreme Court overturned the 1973 landmark case Roe v. Wade, ending federal protections for abortions. In the days since the ruling, many on the Left have spoken out against what they feel is a travesty. President Joe Biden’s administration is no exception. Now, Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra says his agency plans to take action.
On Tuesday, June 28, Becerra held a press conference where he said that his department would be looking into every avenue possible to “protect women’s access to reproductive health care.” With that, he announced the creation of the HHS Reproductive Access Task Force, which he said he established under President Biden’s instructions.

When a reporter questioned whether his hands were tied regarding the ruling and taking more concrete steps, the HHS secretary made it clear he must do things the right way, making sure the department’s information is accurate and avoid “going rogue.” Right now, the task force is simply looking into options and has not made any immediate decisions. It’s unclear when it will.
Becerra also addressed federal law, which he says “requires [HHS programs to provide medication abortion [under certain limited] circumstances,” which include the incidence of rape, incest, or when the mother’s life is in danger. He said there would be an “action plan” to ensure it’s available.
