Famous Hollywood Writer/Producer Charged on Multiple Felony Counts
(DailyVantage.com) – Eric Weinberg became popular for his work on the TV series “Scrubs” and other shows, which earned him standing in Hollywood. However, he allegedly used the credentials to take advantage of several women. He was recently arrested and charged with 18 felony counts that could see him behind bars for a long time if he’s tried and convicted.
On Tuesday, October 4, Los Angeles County, California authorities arrested Weinberg. District Attorney George Gascón spoke out about the charges, saying the producer lured “young women for photo shoots where he allegedly sexually assaulted them.” Several women have come forward with harrowing accounts of abuse at his hands.

The charges against Weinberg included sexual penetration by use of force, oral copulation, sexual battery by restraint, assault using force likely to cause great bodily injury, false imprisonment by violence, and attempted sexual penetration by use of force. He is currently out on a $5 million bond.
These incidents reportedly occurred between 2014 and 2017, though police believe there could be cases dating back to the 1990s. Gascón is encouraging victims to come forward.
