Ilhan Omar Supports Harris’s Decision to Pick Walz as VP

(DailyVantage.com) – While the mainstream media sought to portray Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate Tim Walz as a “moderate” Democrat who could help Harris win over moderates in the Midwest, members of the far-left Squad were quick to celebrate the choice of Walz, declaring that he and Harris would help to usher in the policies supported by the radical lawmakers.

Fellow Minnesota Democrat Ilhan Omar praised the Minnesota governor for enacting progressive policies in the state like “universal school meals,” paid sick leave and family leave, and protecting “reproductive rights.”

Outgoing Squad member, New York Rep. Jamaal Bowman, posted a deranged video on X in which he cheered Walz’s selection by screaming into the camera.

Bowman’s fellow New York Squad Member Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez praised Vice President Harris for selecting Walz and said that a Harris-Walz administration would support the progressive agenda favored by the Squad.

Squad member Cori Bush, who went on to lose the Democrat primary later that day, said that a Harris-Walz administration would put the Democrat Party on track to enact progressive policies.

Also celebrating Walz’s selection was the group Democrat Socialists of America.

In a lengthy thread on X, the socialist group said Walz’s selection as running mate was proof of the power the group had over the Democrat Party, suggesting that the group was instrumental in forcing Vice President Harris to abandon potential running mate Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, whom progressive groups opposed because he was Jewish.

The Republicans wasted no time pointing out Walz’s far-left progressive agenda as Minnesota governor and his support for far-left progressive causes like the defund the police movement.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis described Harris and Walz as “the most left-wing” Democrat presidential ticket in history. Similarly, Senator Mike Lee of Utah described the Harris-Walz ticket as the “most radical” in the country’s history.

Donald Trump’s running mate JD Vance told reporters that by choosing Governor Walz, Vice President Harris showed how radical she was.
