In a statement to Fox News Digital, a spokesperson for Foxx detailed the incident: “Jamie Foxx was at his birthday dinner when someone from another table threw a glass that hit him in the mouth. He had to get stitches and is recovering. The police were called, and the matter is now in law enforcement’s hands.”
The Beverly Hills Police Department (BHPD) confirmed that officers responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon at 10:06 p.m. However, a press release noted that after a preliminary investigation, the claim of a deadly weapon was deemed “unfounded.” Authorities determined the incident involved a physical altercation between parties but no arrests were made. A battery report was filed, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Foxx’s representatives confirmed that the injury required stitches, but assured fans that he is recovering well.
This incident comes at an emotional time for Foxx, who recently opened up about a life-threatening health scare in 2023.
