Kamala Harris’ Ally Met with Chinese Officials During Business Trip

(DailyVantage.com) – Ron Busby, a prominent ally of Vice President Kamala Harris and president of the U.S. Black Chambers, is facing scrutiny for meetings with Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials during a 2017 business trip to China. Busby, who has made multiple visits to the Biden-Harris White House and is a significant figure in Black business leadership, traveled to Beijing, Shanghai, and Xi’an as part of a 10-day delegation known as the “New Majority Alliance.” The trip, which included New York government officials and business leaders, was supported by the Chinese Consulate in New York and facilitated by the New York in China Center.

Busby’s participation in the delegation underscores his commitment to expanding Black business interests globally. He documented his journey on social media, stating his intent to “spread the voice of Black businesses around the globe.” Following the trip, Busby highlighted the importance of collaboration between the U.S., Africa, and China, stating that these regions “need each other for the new sustainability.”

The trip also led to a memorandum of understanding between the U.S. Black Chambers and the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, aiming to promote business ties between the U.S., Africa, and China. Busby’s significant influence in the Black business community, alongside his high-level meetings with government officials like President Biden and Vice President Harris, has raised questions about his ties to China, particularly as Harris herself faces criticism for selecting Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate. Walz’s own connections to China have become a point of contention during the campaign.

This revelation adds to ongoing scrutiny regarding Harris’s affiliations and the broader issue of foreign influence within American politics, particularly with respect to China.
