Kamala Harris Roasted for Off-Script Word Salad on Democracy

(DailyVantage.com) – During a campaign stop in Western Pennsylvania last weekend, Vice President Kamala Harris deployed one of her many favorite canned remarks on the so-called “dual nature” of democracy.

Much like her “we can envision what can be unburdened by what has been” line, Harris has repeated these remarks so frequently that one social media user compiled a side-by-side-by-side video showing the vice president delivering the same comments in three different speeches under the caption “The duality of Kamala Harris in triplicate.”

In her oft-repeated remarks, Harris once again claimed that there is a “duality to the nature of democracy,” adding that when it is intact, it is “incredibly strong” but it is also “incredibly fragile.”

She claimed that her presidential campaign recognized that democracy had been perverted in recent years so that the strength of the leader was “based on who you beat down” instead of “who you lift up.”

She suggested that the Republican ticket sought to be the leaders who beat people down and claimed that the leader who does so “is a coward.”

The vice president’s latest version of her “duality” of democracy comment was roundly mocked on social media, with most users noting the inherent contradiction in her remarks.

Harris’ campaign stops in Western Pennsylvania also prompted outrage from patrons of a restaurant in Moon Township who were hustled out at 4:00 p.m. last Sunday so the campaign could stage a “Kamala meets with locals” event for the news cameras.

The patrons of Primanti Brothers accused the Harris campaign of busing in supporters to play the roles of restaurant patrons for the vice president’s visit.

Allegheny County Republican Committee Chair Sam DeMarco posted a video on X showing several white vans arriving at the restaurant after Harris arrived. According to DeMarco, the vans carried the people who would play diners at the restaurant during Harris’ visit.

The people who were asked to leave Primanti Brothers protested outside, claiming that the campaign was using “actors” for the vice president’s photo op.
