(DailyVantage.com) – Mothers who lost children to violent crimes committed by illegal immigrants are speaking out against the Biden-Harris administration’s handling of border security, warning that “no one is safe” under current policies. Alexis Nungaray, Patty Morin, and Anne Fundner, all of whom experienced unimaginable loss, voiced their frustrations during a call organized by former President Donald Trump’s campaign as Vice President Kamala Harris made her first visit to the southern border in over three years.
Patty Morin, the mother of Rachel Morin, a young mother of five who was brutally murdered in Maryland, shared the horror of her daughter’s death at the hands of Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador. Morin described the brutal attack, explaining that her daughter was dragged, raped, and left in a drainpipe. Despite this, she said Kamala Harris has remained silent, failing to acknowledge either her daughter’s death or the broader problem at the border. “Her children don’t have a mother,” Morin said, emphasizing the lasting impact of the crime.
Alexis Nungaray, who lost her 12-year-old daughter Jocelyn to two illegal immigrants in Houston, spoke through tears about her daughter’s murder. The Venezuelan suspects allegedly lured Jocelyn under a bridge, where she was strangled and bound. Nungaray held the Biden-Harris administration’s “open border” policies responsible, saying, “These are the kind of individuals that we just so openly let in our country.”
Anne Fundner, whose son Weston died from fentanyl poisoning in Southern California, also condemned the administration, holding them accountable for the flood of fentanyl streaming into the U.S. from the southern border. She called the current border policies directly complicit in the deaths of over 300,000 Americans, noting that fentanyl is now the leading cause of death for young adults aged 18 to 45.
All three mothers criticized Harris’s border visit as a political stunt, with Fundner saying it came “39 days before the election” and was merely a “photo op” that would not bring back their children. They stressed that the effects of border security failures reach far beyond border states, warning that illegal immigrants have infiltrated every corner of the country. “No one is safe in America,” Morin declared.
