Nikki Haley POLL Released – It’s Big News!

(DailyVantage.com) – Nikki Haley, the second Republican to launch her candidacy for 2024, has received a modest uptick in polling shortly after her announcement.

Though she still remains far behind former President Donald Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Haley has doubled her poll numbers from a week ago. According to Wednesday’s Morning Consult poll, Haley stands at 6 percent. While this may seem insignificant, it’s with noting that that is a 50% increase from last week’s polling.

Haley, though, is new to the field. Along with President Trump and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, who just launched his candidacy on Tuesday’s episode of Tucker Carlson Tonight, Haley is one of only three candidates in the race. With the first Republican primaries still a ways away, Haley still has plenty of time to rise in the ranks. For Haley to come across as a formidable candidate, she will need to approach DeSantis and Trump in the polling.

In the short time that she has been running, however, Haley has attracted a surprising amount of media attention. At a rally in her home state of South Carolina, she made headlines with her call for “mandatory mental competency tests for politicians over 75 years old.” This created an instant media firestorm. Don Lemon’s reaction was perhaps the most notable. On his CNN show, Lemon opined that Haley herself is past her prime and that women are only in their prime in their 20s, 30s, and 40s. These comments elicited quite a bit of negative buzz and Lemon later apologized.

In the wake of Haley’s controversial comments, she has not backed down. When Senator Bernie Sanders took issue with Haley’s call for competency exams for elderly politicians, Haley shot right back saying that Sanders was “exactly the reason we need it”.

So while her boost in the polls may be modest, it is evident that Haley has hit the ground running.
