Prince William Cuts Queen Camilla’s Sister Off Royal Payroll

(DailyVantage.com) – William, Prince of Wales removed Queen Camilla’s sister from the payroll after he took over the Duchy of Cornwall.

Interior designer Annabel Elliot, the Queen’s 75-year-old sister, has been paid by the royal family for her design services over the last twenty years. She was first hired by His Majesty King Charles III when he was Prince of Wales to serve as chief designer for his estates after he married her sister in 2005.

Since that time, Elliot has received an annual payment for her work in the Duchy of Cornwall, including updating the Duchy’s properties in Cornwall, the Scilly Isles, and Wales.

Prince William’s decision to no longer employ the Queen’s sister was not a reflection of the work she had done, sources claimed.

According to the Duchy’s annual accounts, Elliot was paid anywhere from £19,625 to £82,272 to maintain the rental properties in the Duchy, as well as its plant nursery and offices.

Elliot was also reimbursed between £7,160 and £90,285 for the purchase of furniture, retail stock, and furnishings over the years.

Among the work she oversaw was the refurbishment of the 20-bedroom public house in the King’s Poundbury development in Dorset. She also helped to convert a lodge and two cottages into guest lodgings at Dumfries House in Ayrshire.

However, the 2023-2024 accounts for the Duchy of Cornwall, which reflect Prince William’s first full year as Duke, show that for the first time in nearly 20 years, Elliot was not paid for any services.

The last recorded payment received by Elliot was from September 2022 when the Duchy of Cornwall paid her £19,625 and reimbursed her £12,316 for furniture, retail stock, and furnishings. The payments covered work Elliot did for the Duchy Holiday accommodation, as well as the nursery and offices.

Elliot operates her design company Annabel Elliot Ltd. from her home in Stourpaine, Dorset, where she and her late husband previously let then-Prince Charles meet secretly with Camilla when he was still married to Princess Diana.
