Putin Overthrow Reports Spread as Failures Mount
(DailyVantage.com) – To say that the Ukraine invasion didn’t meet Russian President Vladimir Putin’s expectations would be a gross understatement. In the wake of his failures, rumors about the Kremlin’s leader have been circulating for months, ranging from reports of alleged illness to his citizens reportedly wanting him out of power. Now, another rumor has surfaced alleging the Kremlin strongman’s days might just be coming to an end.
According to the Mirror, a British intelligence source revealed Putin’s veiled threats of using nuclear weapons could very well be his end — especially if he decides to follow through. The unnamed source said a “military mutiny” might end the Russian leader’s reign if he attempted to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine or elsewhere.

Despite Putin’s seeming nonchalance over threats to use nukes to achieve his goals, the military elites in Russia apparently don’t feel the same way. The source said these individuals believe the intimidation gives Russia some leverage, but the actual use or attempted use of nuclear weapons would lead to a coup resulting in the autocrat stepping down or dying.
Speculation has also grown over who might replace the Russian president should he fall from power, whether willingly or by force. The top name floating around is Yevgeny Viktorovich Prigozhin, Putin’s close confidant.
