(DailyVantage.com) – Republican Texas Senator Ted Cruz accused the Democratic Party of being pro-China and its backers of being “in bed” with the Chinese government during an interview with Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo.
Asked by Bartiromo whether Democrats were “enabling” China to surpass the power of the United States, Cruz said that they were.
The senator warned that China was waging a thousand-year war of dominance against the US, before accusing US President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party of being “structurally pro-China” and the Democratic Party’s backers of being “in bed” with the Chinese Communist Party.
During the interview, Cruz also accused Biden of aiding America’s enemies by undermining US allies in other countries, such as former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Cruz claimed Bolsonaro’s successor, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, was a communist who “hates America” and said Biden had worked to get Lula instated as president over Bolsonaro. He claimed Biden was currently trying to do the same in Israel by working to get Netanyahu removed from power.
Netanyahu, who was recently the target of massive protests in Jerusalem over his attempts to pass controversial judicial reforms, has not been invited to the White House since his return to power in December 2022.
Netanyahu’s government has reportedly interpreted the lack of an invitation as an intentional snub, with the prime minister allegedly forbidding his ministers to meet with White House officials until he is invited himself.
In another March interview with Fox News, Cruz accused major corporations, the tech industry, Hollywood, and universities of also being “in bed” with China, and argued that they in turn were major “stakeholders” of the Democratic Party and Biden’s White House.
In February, despite commending Biden for ordering the shooting down of an alleged Chinese surveillance balloon, Cruz criticized the president for taking too long to act and claimed the delayed response had signaled weakness to the Chinese government.
