(DailyVantage.com) – Hope Walz, the 23-year-old daughter of former Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz, launched into a fiery critique of American voters following the 2024 election, where President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance decisively defeated Kamala Harris and her running mate. Her rant, originally posted on TikTok, quickly went viral after being shared on X, amassing nearly one million views in a single day.
In the video, Hope expressed deep frustration with the outcome of the election and what she viewed as a failure of the American electorate. “This country does not deserve Kamala Harris,” she declared. “That woman should go live her best life wherever she wants, doing whatever she wants, because we don’t deserve her at this point.”
She reserved sharp criticism for Trump and Vance, delivering a personal rebuke. “These people have to live in their own skin,” she said. “JD Vance and Donald Trump have to be JD Vance and Donald Trump, and that is not a punishment I’d wish upon anybody but those two individuals.”
Hope also praised Black women voters, calling them the only group who “delivered” in the election. “We failed them,” she lamented. “It’s just heartbreaking, and we got to do whatever we can to support them and support our people through these next four years.”
This is not the first time Hope Walz has courted controversy with her political views. During the 2020 Black Lives Matter riots, she allegedly shared sensitive National Guard deployment information on social media, raising concerns about her judgment and the potential risks to public safety. Her outspoken political presence has repeatedly drawn attention, often overshadowing her father’s own political career.
Tim Walz, a former Minnesota governor, faced off against Vance in the vice presidential debate last month. Vance’s performance was widely regarded as a key moment that solidified the Harris-Walz ticket’s defeat, even earning praise from typically left-leaning outlets.
Despite her frustration, Hope ended her video on a defiant note. “I’m just really grateful I am who I am, and I’m on the side of love and hope and joy and progress,” she said.
The reaction to her comments has been mixed, with some commending her passion and others criticizing what they see as a divisive and out-of-touch tone. Her remarks underscore the lingering tensions and polarization that defined the 2024 election and its aftermath.
