Trump Pledges to Rescue Deeply Democratic City in Large Rally

(DailyVantage.com) – Defying expectations, former president Donald Trump’s ambitious rally in the Bronx in New York drew thousands of people, as the former chief executive pledged to “Make New York great again” if he is elected president.

The event, held in Crotona park, which happens to be located just blocks away from the New York district represented by Democratic New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, quickly filled the 3,500 people indicated in its rally permit, with thousands of other supporters chanting and shouting their support from outside the gates. Chris LaCivita, a senior adviser to the campaign of the former commander-in-chief, said that more than 20,000 people RSVP-ed to the event.

“This is some turnout,” Trump told the boisterous crowd. In his speech, Trump scored President Joe Biden for being “grossly incompetent” in for “not getting the job done for the Bronx” and the people of New York. Trump said that the Democrats have done nothing to address the burgeoning crime rate in the city, or to improve the depressing state of public transportation and public infrastructure in America’s most populated and most iconic city. Trump also blasted the Biden administration for allowing “mobs of migrants” to fight police and “give America the middle finger”.

“Joe Biden is the worst president in the history of our country,” Trump said to the applause of the people in attendance.

Photos show supporters coming from all walks of life and ethnicities, an indication of a dangerous trend that could spell disaster for Biden and the Democrats’ ambitions to secure a second term in the White House.

David Paterson, a former Democratic governor of the state, warned that the huge showing in the Trump rally should serve as a “wake-up call” for the Biden-Harris campaign and Democrats in general. Paterson said that the Democrats should directly address issues such as high inflation rather than “criticize what Trump did four years ago.”
