(DailyVantage.com) – Elon Musk’s political action committee, America PAC, is ramping up its efforts to increase voter registration and turnout in key battleground states, offering starting wages of $30 per hour to those interested in joining the cause. According to the PAC’s website, bonuses for high performance are also on the table, making the position even more appealing.
This effort aligns with Musk’s vocal support for free speech and individual rights, which he emphasized during a recent appearance with former President Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. Musk, who endorsed Trump earlier this year, joined the former president on stage during a rally, encouraging attendees to register and vote, declaring that “this is no ordinary election.”
Musk’s America PAC aims to influence key races in states like Nevada, Arizona, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, as well as in closely contested congressional districts. Formed earlier this summer, the PAC has already poured over $2 million into competitive races, with Musk promising to commit $45 million a month to fund the effort leading up to Election Day.
Social media users have particularly noted the high hourly wage the PAC is offering to canvassers, which is a significant increase compared to the federal minimum wage. By partnering with organizations like Turning Point Action, America PAC is hoping to create a significant ground game to boost Republican voter turnout, especially in states critical to winning control of Congress and the presidency.
Musk’s involvement in the political landscape reflects his shift from identifying as a “moderate Democrat” to aligning more closely with conservative causes, focusing on issues like free markets and freedom of speech. His partnership with Trump and investment in voter mobilization marks his most direct involvement in U.S. politics to date. Musk’s appearance in Butler highlighted this, as the rally took place at the site of a previous assassination attempt on Trump.
