(DailyVantage.com) – The vaccine debate has raged on pretty much since they first became available. Where the United States is currently dealing with government overreach in the form of vaccine mandates, citizens of Quebec, Canada could end up literally paying for making their own medical decisions.
On Tuesday, January 11, Premier Francois Legault made an announcement affecting all adults living in Quebec. Those who choose not to get vaccinated will pay a “significant” levy for their choice. Calling it a “health contribution,” Legault said the 90% of the population who are vaccinated “have made some sacrifices,” and the province “owes them.”
Quebec announces fines for people who don’t take the vaccine. Like Cuba, Canada has government run-health care so there is nowhere for vaccine refugees to go. This suggests they will be banned from receiving health care. This violates the Hippocratic oath. pic.twitter.com/uWMsxu83hh

The amount of the fine has yet to be determined, but it won’t apply to residents who have medical exemptions. Legault indicated the remaining 10% of the population who remain unvaccinated have a few weeks to start the process before they face any levies.
On Thursday, January 13, the Supreme Court struck down vaccine mandates in the United States, except for healthcare workers, leading many citizens to breathe a collective sigh of relief for their body autonomy. However, the fight isn’t over yet and many fear what’s happening in Canada could very well happen here.
What do you think? Do you think the United States will follow suit and start levying fines against people who refuse the jab?
