(DailyVantage.com) – Senator JD Vance (R-OH) recently slammed Vice President Kamala Harris during a campaign event in North Carolina, going after her handling of the U.S.-Mexico border crisis. Vance, who is running as vice president on the Republican ticket with former President Donald Trump, didn’t hold back when he blamed Harris for making the situation worse over the last three and a half years.
“Our message to Kamala Harris is, how dare you call people racist for wanting to close that wide-open border,” Vance said, firing up the crowd. He went on to say, “How dare you call the citizens of your own country ‘bad people’ because they don’t want illegal immigration flooding into their country.”
Vance continued his pointed attack, accusing Harris of ignoring the real issues that Americans are facing because of the border crisis. “Kamala Harris, how dare you attack the citizens of your own country for not wanting their children to die from fentanyl overdoses,” he added. “How dare you call us ‘bad people.’ YOU’RE the bad person for causing this crisis, and we are NOT wrong for speaking out about it.”
But Vance didn’t stop there. He also criticized Harris and the Biden administration for failing to create an economy that benefits average Americans. He offered some blunt advice to Harris, calling out her often confusing responses to serious questions about the economy.
“To Kamala Harris, we have one final message on the economy,” Vance said. “Stop with the word salad about growing up in a middle-class family. What you need to do is unleash American energy and support American workers. That’s the real way to help people and lower prices.”
Recently, Harris gave a television interview with Oprah Winfrey, where she also took questions from voters. When one couple asked her how she plans to lower prices, Harris gave a long, unclear response, talking about the challenges of the American Dream instead of offering a real plan.
Vance’s remarks show the growing frustration among conservatives about Harris’s handling of the border and the economy.
