Vivek Ramaswamy Refuses To Criticize Trump After Scathing Attack

(DailyVantage.com) – Former president Donald Trump has taken aim at another rival for the Republican presidential nomination, this time launching a tirade against fellow businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, calling a vote for the biotech billionaire a vote for “the other side”, presumably referring to the Democrats.

In the past, Trump has referred to Ramaswamy as a “smart guy” that possessed a “lot of talent” – Ramaswamy is one of the few running for the Republican presidential nomination that have not taken an antagonistic approach against the former president. In fact, Ramaswamy has echoed a lot of Trump’s policies and principles and has largely had only praise for the former commander-in-chief, despite running against him.

Still, just before the Iowa caucus, Trump has apparently launched into scorched earth mode, sparing no one from his attacks. He has previously taken aim at former U.S. ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley, calling her a “globalist” who had little concern for America, and has now trained his sights on Ramaswamy.

The former chief executive has called on Republican voters to not be “duped” by Ramaswamy, and said that voting for the latter would be a “waste.”

“Vivek is not MAGA,” Trump posted on his self-owned social media platform, Truth Social.

The attacks come after Ramaswamy posted on Twitter / X, calling on voters to vote for him with the slogan, “SAVE TRUMP, VOTE VIVEK.”

While Trump has obviously taken issue with Ramaswamy’s most current call to action, the latter has seemingly shrugged off attacks from the former president. In a tweet, Ramaswamy attributed Trump’s tirade to “unfortunate” advice from his campaign staff. He has also seemingly taken a non-retaliatory stance, saying that “I don’t think friendly fire is helpful,” and still called Trump “the greatest President of the 21st century.” He further said that he would not criticize the former president.
