Trump Accused by Biden of Promoting Violence With ‘Bloodbath’

(DailyVantage.com) – A new ad from the Biden-Harris campaign targeted former president Donald Trump’s recent remarks on the auto industry. In it, Trump said that if he wins the election in November, it will be a “bloodbath” for the American automotive industry.

President Joe Biden’s latest political attack on this predecessor’s rhetoric is a common tactic. One of the president’s main arguments against a second stint by Trump in the White House would be a fundamental threat to the U.S.’ hard-fought democracy, which could possibly convince voters who have yet to choose whether to keep the incumbent commander-in-chief or reinstate the former occupant of the White House.

While large sectors from both sides of the aisle are decidedly polarized in their choices this coming election, a large number of voters are still undecided. A significant number of possible swing voters remain unconvinced by either Biden or Trump – often due to the former’s age and the latter’s multiple lawsuits. And with recent polls showing that a November face-off between the two is likely to be another closely-fought race, every vote counts.

The ad also showed a montage of various other snippets of Trump’s public statements, such as when he said he would pardon everyone who has been convicted over their participation in the January 6, 2021, riots at the Capitol. The ad ended with the call to action to “STOP TRUMP.”

The Biden-Harris campaign also released a statement calling the former president someone who “doubles down on his threats of political violence.” Trump was also described as an extremist with an “affection for violence, and… [a] thirst for revenge.”

For his part, the former chief executive has accused Team Biden of taking his remarks out of context.

Steven Cheung, the spokesperson for Trump’s campaign, also responded to the ad, accusing the Biden administration of “gaslighting” and Biden being responsible for his own “Bloodbath… across America.” Cheung was referring to Biden’s poor handling of the U.S. troop withdrawal from Afghanistan, as well as the continuing crisis at the border and the increase in illegal immigrants crossing into the country.
