Country Star Morgan Wallen Charged with Three Crimes

(DailyVantage.com) – Tennessee authorities have arrested country music star Morgan Wallen after he allegedly threw a chair off the sixth story of a bar and have charged him with three different criminal offenses, including reckless endangerment. Wallen allegedly threw a chair from the business and laughed about the incident afterward despite the chair almost hitting officers on the street below. The officers found video footage of the incident and decided to arrest Wallen.

Wallen now faces three different felony charges related to the bar incident, including disorderly conduct and reckless endangerment. Authorities initially arrested Wallen just before 11:00 p.m. for the incident and transported him to the Davidson County detention facility. Wallen arrived at the Nashville detention center just after midnight on the night of the incident and quickly paid a $15,250 bond, with authorities releasing him just after 3:00 a.m. Police released a statement about the incident and stated that Wallen had cooperated with investigators throughout the ordeal.

Wallen’s arrest comes during his “One Night at a Time” tour and isn’t the first instance of the country music icon making national headlines for scandalous behavior. Wallen’s first Nashville arrest occurred just months after reaching national fame and stemmed from an incident at a bar. Prosecutors charged the country music star with public intoxication and disorderly conduct. Wallen also had a prior arrest from 2016, which saw him charged with driving under the influence, but the authorities dropped the charges against Wallen.

Wallen’s largest scandal didn’t stem from an arrest but rather from the country singer using a racial slur while spending time with his friends. The incident occurred in 2021 and was captured on video, which TMZ obtained and released to the general public. Wallen immediately made national headlines due to the scandal, which prompted most music platforms and streaming services to drop Wallen and avoid playing his music. Wallen also lost his recording contract with his label due to the incident and his eligibility for the Country Music Awards.

The racial slur scandal didn’t end Wallen’s career, as the musician began donating to various causes aimed at helping black people and received counseling. Wallen also apologized for using the slur and said he wouldn’t make a similar mistake moving forward. While Wallen’s latest arrest hasn’t prevented the singer from reaching success, the country music star could spend 15 years in prison if convicted for the three felonies brought against him.
