Crowd BURSTS INTO Laughter After What Biden Claimed!

(DailyVantage.com) – During his State of the Union Address on Tuesday, President Biden elicited a raucous choir of boos from the right side of the aisle when he suggested that some Republican lawmakers want to “sunset” Social Security and Medicare.

Amidst the heckles and chatter, you can see Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) shout “liar!” from the back of the chamber. Senator Mike Lee can also be seen with a dumbfounded look on his face.

Despite the pushback Biden received from this dubious claim, he doubled down on Wednesday during a speech in Madison, Wisconsin: “They seemed shocked when I raised the plans of some of their members in their caucus to cut Social Security”, Biden said.

Biden then proceeded to make use of a prop: Senator Rick Scott’s (R-FL) “Rescue America” plan. In the brochure, Scott lays out a plan that would involve Congressional renewal of both Social Security and Medicare. Without Congressional approval, the programs would be terminated.

This, to Biden, is unequivocal proof that a significant group of Congressional Republicans are determined to strip these important government benefits from ordinary Americans.

Biden went on to mention Senator Mike Lee (R-UT), who, in a video recorded over ten years ago, voiced support for fading out certain government benefits.

Biden, hyperbolically, claimed that “a lot” of Republicans “dream” of weeding out Social Security and Medicare.

Rick Scott, rebutting Biden’s claims against him, pointed out that Biden himself spoke about “freezing” Social Security and Medicare on numerous occasions.

While it is undoubtedly true that there are some Republican members of Congress who are particularly fiscally conservative (such as Mike Lee, Ron Johnson, and Rick Scott, it would be simply inaccurate and misleading to say that Republicans, on the whole, have dreams of wedding out these programs.

With the State of the Union now in the rearview mirror, Biden is doubling down on his divisive claims.
