U.S. Senator RUNNING For President? – Look Who!

(DailyVantage.com) – With former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley announcing her bid for president in 2024, the field is slowly widening. Though Trump and Haley are the only two confirmed GOP candidates as of now, many are speculating about who else might throw their hat into the ring.

On Tuesday, Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), a rising star in the Republican party who has been rumored to be eyeing a bid for the White House, added a stop to his upcoming visit to Iowa.

Iowa is, of course, an integral state when it comes to national elections. The Iowa caucuses always accrue a lot of media attention during election years. Scott’s focus on the Hawkeye state may, in fact, be telling.

On February 22nd, Scott will be addressing a crowd of school choice advocates at Drake University in Des Moines Iowa.

Scott has long been considered an up and coming star in the Republican Party. During the 2020 Republican National Convention, Scott was widely lauded for his impressive speech wherein he addressed racial strife in the country, school choice advocacy, and economic concerns.

Scott, the GOPs only African American Senator, would undoubtedly receive an influx of media attention if he were to run. Scott has also expressed a desire to reach across the aisle to work on bipartisan legislation including police reform.

Though talks of Scott’s run for office are only speculative as of now, there have been some anonymous sources that have egged on the rumors.

According to Jennifer DeCasper, one of Scott’s key advisors, he is “excited to share his vision of hope and opportunity and hear the American people’s response.”

Scott would be the third declared GOP candidate for president in 2024. He would, indeed, be in for quite a battle with former President Trump also being in the race.
