Deadline MISSED – Biden Is In For It NOW!

(DailyVantage.com) – President Joe Biden recently missed a crucial deadline to declassify the origin of the 2020 pandemic and its potential links to the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Biden himself signed the law that established the deadline, but has failed to follow the rules that it established.

Biden’s failure to meet the deadline has already been discussed by House Reps including Mike Gallagher from Wisconsin. Gallagher stated that Biden can’t ignore the “overwhelming” bipartisan support for the policy, and went on to state that declassification of information related to the pandemic should be a focus of Congress moving forward.

The law in question would have required the Director of National Intelligence, Avril Haines, to release any information regarding the origin of the pandemic and any potential links it’d have to the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Despite the policy being signed into law with bipartisan support, it seems unlikely to be followed, especially at a time when tensions between America and China are incredibly high.

Secretary of State Anthony Blinken recently visited China for two days, presumably in an effort to establish communication and discuss various issues, although the pandemic was notably absent from discussions. Blinken even met with China’s President Xi Jinping for around half an hour, though the particulars of their meeting are still unknown. Blinken’s visit comes at a time of tension between the two countries, and serves as the first time in around five years a top US official visited China.

Despite making an effort to lessen the hostility between the US and China, Biden recently drew the ire of Chinese officials by publicly calling Xi Jinping a “dictator.” Biden made the statement only a day after the end of Blinken’s visit, with China responding by calling the claim political provocation. Although such a comment will likely play a role in determining China’s willingness to talk more with top US officials, the declassification of information that would implicate China is unlikely to come to fruition.
